Known for her empathetic and insightful judgments - whether it was ruling for compulsory registration of marriages, that could be used as evidence for paternity or bigamy, the economic value of homemakers, or gender equality in public spaces - applying international guidelines to support women’s participation in various sectors etc.

Beyond her judicial accomplishments, Justice Prabha Sridevan has made significant contributions to literature, particularly through her translation work from Tamil literature to English - whether it was translating the words by writer Chudamani,  or the works of Kanchi Sankaracharya. Her work has been instrumental in introducing Tamil literary gems to English-speaking readers.
